Hazelnut Latte or Macchiato
In the world of coffee today, there are a number of varieties and options available to choose from and we are delighted to add to that. With Nature’s Store being innovators, we pride ourselves not only on great tasting free-from foods and snacks; but mixing things up by adding our hazelnut spread to a shot of espresso, or 2. So go ahead, create your own hazelnut coffee and tell us what you think.
For a delicious latte or macchiato or two, follow the recipe and instructions below:
1 cup of milk
1 desert spoon Hazelnut spread
1 shot espresso (2 if you’re feeling in need?)
- Either in a cup in the microwave or in a small pan, add the Hazelnut Spread to the milk and heat. Do not boil. Take care when doing this and do not over heat the milk! Heat for 1 minute and stir. Heat again for a further 1 ½ minutes, ensuring the milk and Hazelnut spread full incorporate.
- Using your favourite coffee maker, espresso pot or instant coffee, make a strong third of cup coffee. Sweeten with sugar if required?
- When the milk is hot gently whisk to make a foam. Gently spoon the Hazelnut and milk onto the fresh coffee, or if you prefer a latte, pour the hot Hazelnut milk into the coffee. Enjoy
Alternatively you could add brandy or whisky to the fresh made coffee to make it a spiked latte, or add marshmallows to the top for ultimate comfort!
