It’s that time of year again… we’re all talking about Veganuary!

You’ll probably know by now that the annual event is all about encouraging non-vegans to adopt a plant-based diet for the month of January. And with so many health and environmental benefits to veganism, it’s no wonder participation continues to grow each year with more than 500,000 sign ups to the 2021 campaign and a 2 million milestone predicted for this year.

More and more of us here in the UK are looking to at least reduce our meat consumption – mainly for health & weight management for meat eaters.

So, what are the benefits?

Going plant-based can lower your blood pressure, improve your skin and keep your heart healthy, although many people will follow a vegan diet simply for help with weight loss.

When eliminating meat and dairy, naturally we rely on foods like whole grains, fruit & veg, beans, nuts, and seeds to get our nutrients which in turn may lead to a generally healthier diet.

Whatever your motivation, why not consider going plant-based for a month or even just a couple of days a week?

Seeing vegan food as bland and boring is now a thing of the past – with endless meat replacement options and transformative cooking methods across a variety of cuisines in restaurants and supermarkets, you’ll never be short of taste sensations to tempt you over to a plant-based life!

Speaking of which, our vegan rice cakes and chocolate spreads are loved by so many of our loyal customers and we’re often told that our vegan chocolate is as good as if not better than the real thing. If you haven’t already, you can check out our full range here:

We believe great tasting plant-based foods are the future for a healthier life and a healthier planet which is why we offer gluten and wheat free, palm oil free, vegan and vegetarian products.
